stereotyping is exaggerated generalizations associated with a categorizing system, they go beyond the facts at hand and make claims that usually have no valid basis. it is also something that most people fond difficult to avoid from doing. what do you think?

Psychologists once believed that only bigoted people used stereotypes. Now the study of unconscious bias is revealing the unsettling truth: We all use stereotypes, all the time, without knowing it. They have met the enemy of equality, and the enemy is us.

stereotyping is when you judge a group of people who are different from you based on your own and/or other opinions and/ encounters

Each of us has a biased world view because we are all limited to a single camera perspective. That is we can only see what comes before us, we can only hear what is around us, and we can only read that which is in front of us. No one has the definitive version of reality,Our world view impacts how we view, respond, and react to every experience. the lesson is to learn what stereotypes and biases are, how to recognize our own biases, and how move beyond them to a more balanced ability to evaluate and understand people.

I would like to say that we all use stereotypes without knowing them. for example , we always say that women cannot play the heavy sports like football , hockey and cycling. this is because we tend to think that all of this sports is for men. we cannot avoid from doing it.  because i think we have set our mind set to think that way.
